Cheaper / Less Campaign Plans

I love using SEOmoz at work and would like to use it for personal/startup sites. It would be great if you had a cheaper plan, maybe with less campaigns included?

I would sign up today if they have a 1 or 2 campaign account. As it is, I'm going to have to give my money elsewhere. Surely thousands would sign up on a lesser account, it would definitely be worth the pricing.

As it is, I sort of have to look at other tools. I can't afford $99 a month, Not for a single site and campaign. I want to use Moz but Moz is pricing itself out of my reach. I don't need five campaigns and wouldn't use five campaigns so it would be great to have an option that is more inline. Surely at 30-40 a month for 1-2 campaigns would be better for Moz to have multiple account sign ups putting 360-480 in the coffers per account rather than 0.

It's disappointing that this has been rolling since 2011 and nothing has happened with it. It seems the simplest feature request and is a revenue generator.

Your pricing plans/economy of scale are nonsensical. To go from 5 campaigns in the Standard plan to 6 means either creating a new account for $99 (which would give a user a total of 10 campaigns and 600 keywords) or having to go to the Large plan for $249. Just to upgrade to Medium - for an additional $50 per month  - only yields another 150 keywords and, hang on, don't get too excited, branded reports. Hardly worth it. What do you think most users are interested in? Campaigns or hundreds of keywords? If you are looking to price yourself out of the competition, you're doing an excellent job. SEOProfiler, despite the grammatical errors in its reports, is a far better deal than what you offer.

In this day where "bunches" of keywords are more prevalent and traffic rather than ranking is the focus of more agencies I wonder if perhaps there is not an opportunity to change the way you price to access a different agency base.

We are a small agency with a number of small customers our preference would be for more accounts rather than more functionality for each account.

This means 10 accts at 300 keywords is more valuable than 5 accts at 450 keywords.

In summary we would upgrade at the drop of a hat to "say" $149 for 10 acccts with a total of 300

BUT the step from 99 to 249 (5 accts to 25 accts) is just not feasible when we only have 10 accts ourselves.

Anyway an idea - leave with you

Exactly what I need!

Bolt-ons would be perfect when you move through different stages of a campaign, such as keyword research leading to links and mentions etc.

I would probably have to run 4 e-commerce sites to justfiy the basic monthly fee!

I'm about to cancel my plan, since I really don't get my money's worth out of it. I'm just a simple man trying to make my way in the universe.

Ditto!  I've subscribed in the past but had to bail out as I could not justify the cost for my single site and small volume.   I'd like a small step that I could start out with that would enable me to build traffic and thus revenue so that I could make the numbers work for the hefty (to me at least) monthly fee.

Thanks for listening.  Maybe Santa can put this wish under the virtual-tree this Christmas?

I was just asking about this yesterday.  I like the idea of an intro package.   The idea above mine seems perfectly valid.

A lower entry cost for managing 2 sites.  One that is your own and one that is a clients.  Also, some of the PRO features could be like bolt ons, so that you do not need every additional feature, you just "bolt on" the ones that you like.

For example you could opt to have no keyword analysis, but maybe white label PDF's.  $25/$29 was a suggestion for 2 sites.  I think that is feesible.

Count me in on this one. I recently cancelled my subscription for the second time but I'm sure I'll be back in couple of weeks. Your tools are great at the start of a SEO-project. But after that I think the price is a bit high for pure monitoring purposes. What I'd love to see (and instantly subscribe to for a year) is something like a SEO-Start-up-Plan somewhat along these lines: One gets two campaigns. One to be set during subscription, which could not be changed afterwards. That’s preferably for your own webpage. SEO-Starters like me need and love to monitor their own pages. The second one should be like they are right now and be used for the SEO's customers. At a price around 40 USD this would be perfect for people like me. That’s more cash for you guys and regularly SEOmoz for me. Sounds like a win-win, doesn't it?

Hey there! I am moving this post here so we can keep our requests organized, and get them documented properly.

Entry level pricing

suggested this on Mar 13 16:10

Hello SeoMoz team,

the app is very good but the pricing is really steep for someone at the entry level.

Why not make a reduced price version that is for example only valid for 1 website and

priced somewhere like 20~ USD a month.

Would be cool.

I think $100/month is a bit steep for boot-strapping start-ups like mine, especially if all you need is one campaign. I suggest $25/$29 month (billed annually/monthly) just for start-ups. As start-ups succeed, they will stick with you and pay more for more campaigns. Hope you agree! :)

It would be nice to have a plan which only gives access to pro webinars and  unlimited questions in Pro Q&A Forum.

Hey there! I think it would be great to have customizable plans, especially for those who only need to optimize only one or two sites. There are no immediate plans to implement this, but I will definitely keep you guys posted!

Thanks for the great feedback :)

That's exactly what I need. A cheaper, single campaign plan for a personal/startup site.
