Right now, I can only view a weekly timeframe for data in my dashboard and daily/weekly in social. It would be nice to view custom timeframes and monthly, as I do both weekly and monthly measurements and reports.
The fact that we can't compare data natively essentially makes this software a digital brick. Until this is fixed we'll have to go back to manual Google Analytics reporting.
It's very frustrating that this wasn't apparent before we jumped on the (EXPENSIVE) bandwagon.
I really don't understand how you can justify the rates you charge without providing custom date ranges. What are we paying for beyond a simple snapshot of our sites? In what world is a weekly report useful?
Please find our top 3 tasks we would perform with date ranges customisation:
1- To be able to run date ranges to report on a fortnightly basis e.g. compile data from 1st until 15th of month.
2- To be able to schedule and start reporting on a specific time frame immediately, instead of currently having to wait until the date and then requesting/scheduling the report. e.g. Say it is currently the 21st month, but I want to add a 'WEEKLY' report to start on the 1st-7th. or input the MONTHLY report to be from 1st - 31st of month. Currently if you miss the date, then you have to wait the whole month again to catch the 31st to request a report . And then it is confusing as to what day you have to request and what dates it will then include. e.g. do I have to request the report on the 31st or the 1st of the month to ensure data is tracked up to the end of the month??
3- To be able to run comparisons over a period e.g. looking at past 3 months, to be able to review/report quarterly.

All of our tasks concerning custom ranges relate to making it easier to report data to our clients. Our top 3 tasks would be:
1. Date comparison (how they are comparing over a specific date range now with a similar range previously)
2. Many of our clients have busy periods or periods of special promotions, so it would be nice to be able to isolate those periods for reporting.
3. Although the Monthly measurements have helped a LOT, some of our clients work on a mid-month or quarterly cycles, so it would also be more convenient to be able to select the custom date ranges for these cycles.

We would also like to request an improvement on the MOZ Reporting functionality.
We need the ability to run customised reports for specified date ranges.
Currently the MOZ report scheduling seems very basic and limited. If you miss the time frame/date you cannot get accurate historical reports.
There needs to be an option to set the 'week' starting 1st of a month and the 'month' ranges in a calendar month.
Also currently the system only appears to display online in the Dashboard the WEEKLY view, it would be good to also have a MONTHLY view.
I see for the Twitter report we can now get monthly data - we'd like to request 90 days like there currently is in Pro because it's something we use with our clients. Also, the colours for the graphs in Analytics are quite pale and some of them are really hard to see (like in the Twitter socials if you have more than 3 competitors to compare) so we'd love darker colours on the graphs!
Hey Thomas - we completely agree!!!! We are working on making timeframes more flexible. Unfortunately we don't have a target date for this but it is high on our list.
